The Junior League of Rochester (JLR) offers diverse social, community service and informational opportunities for prospective members throughout the year, and welcomes new members three times each League year (September, January, and May). We are committed to Diversity & Inclusion and fostering an open, welcoming environment for all members.

JLR members…

  • Identify as women
  • Are 21 years of age or older
  • Live or work in and around the Greater Rochester/Monroe County area
  • Are motivated by our mission and shares an interest in volunteerism, training, and a commitment to community service

Transferring Members

Current or former members of any Junior League chapters are welcome! Please contact vpmembership@jlroch.org to transfer your existing membership to the Junior League of Rochester


Prospective and Provisional Members

We invite you to learn about the Junior League of Rochester, our impact in the community, and the benefits of a Junior League membership!

WHO: Membership is open to women of all races, religions and national origins, who are least 21 years of age, demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism and training, and reside within the Greater Rochester metropolitan area.

WHAT: New members, called Provisional Members, complete a 3-4 month session,  designed to provide an overview of the Junior League of Rochester, it’s operations, mission, and history. Click here for more details.

WHERE: Meetings, trainings, and events will take place the Junior League of Rochester office as well as at various venues throughout the Rochester community.

WHEN: The Junior League of Rochester currently offers Provisional classes in three sessions: Fall (begins in September), Winter (begins in January) and Summer (begins in May).

WHY:   You are passionate about voluntarism, training and professional development, meeting new people, community service, or all of the above!
